    URLea's Race Report...

Well, Saturday's race went great for me!!

    Here are the times...

    Swim- 14:58
    T1- 1:37
    Bike- 36:28 (17.4 MPH)
    T2- 0:32 (w00t!!!)
    Run- 30:28 (10:10 min. Mile)
    Total- 1:24:01

Comparing it to my first tri in May I've dropped a little over a minute off of my swim time, gained close to 5mph of speed on the bike and my transition times were even quicker this time. Pretty pleased with the 0:32. I knew T2 would be fast, but wow!

I'm getting started on a more detailed blog post so keep an eye out for that.

Here's a pic of me and DH who also competed just after the race...

After surviving the OWS that this race had and improving so much I'm looking forward to next Sunday when I race again.

Congrats to all of you who also raced this weekend!

URlea... 0:32? How do you do THAT?
Congrats on the race, and mostly on the improvements! That's AWESOME. Good photo -- you still look fresh in that!

Holy crap, nice transitions !! I think in order to have an 0:32 transition I might have to bike in my running shoes - or run in my biking shoes?

    Awesome work!!

    Wow! Fabulous.

    Thanks!

Between not wearing a wetsuit & only having basket pedals it really helps my transitions go fast. I'm also a huge fan of the race number belts.

I've got speed laces on my shoes which works great. So far biking in my running shoes has been going just fine. I know I'll like the switch once I finally get into some Look pedals and decent biking shoes, but after purchasing the new road-bike I've been trying to conserve what's left in my wallet.

Thinking I'll go out for a short run today, I know I need to take it easy with another race only 4days away, but I'm feeling fidgety.
