Hi all!
I'm new to this forum, but I've been cycling for a while. Started off with a mountain bike when I quit smoking at the age of 32, and found a new love. I was living in Albuquerque at the time, and the trails were numerous and wonderful. I then moved to Maryland and lost my easy access, so I bought a road bike, and fell in love all over again. I did two century rides while in Maryland - the Bay to Bay Century and the American Lung Association Salisbury ride. That was 10 years ago.
I moved to California to marry my DH and discovered the joys of hiking and running as he is not as into bikes as I am. We climbed a few mountains, ran a few half marathons, then I joined a company that is filled with avid cycling enthusiasts, and I rediscovered my bike. At the age of 44 I ended up buying a new Cannondale R5 triple, and rode the Live Strong 50 mile ride, and fell in love all over again.
So, I'm here, and very excited about this forum! I'm looking forward to reading tips and advice on how to improve my speed and mileage!!
