WTB: WSD Quality MT Bike for starter bike

    To disable ads, please log-in.

    Hi Ladies -
I haven't been on the TE Forum for a little over a year. Seems as soon as I got a non-office job (I'm in sales), I started spending less time on the computer. Anyway, I am living in Denver, CO and starting to take interest in MT Biking. I always borrow a friends bike, but it's WAY too big for me - and I don't think I want to fork out a ton of cash for a new one right now. Anyone have a used, but still decent, WSD Mountain Bike out there - that needs a great Colorado home? Will pay for shipping.

    Looking forward to some replies.....

    Size? HT or FS?

    Hi Cheri,

Are you looking for a hardtail, or full suspension?

Do you know what size you need? How tall are you?

And what is your approximate budget?

    Cari

Hi Cheri! I was wondering where you had gone. I don't have a bike to sell but I did pick up a used Scott Hardtail off Craigslist. It was a bit of luck, the girl had bought it as a commuter and it had not seen the trail at all. She was moving to Europe and just needed to get rid of it. I saw the original receipt and was satisfied with the story and my bit of luck.

    Hey everyone -
I didn't realize there would be so much more info I needed to provide...so, I am about 5'5"-5'6" tall (I've always been 5'6" but recent dr's visits suggest I may've shrunk a bit) I can tell you I ride a WSD Giant Road Bike in size XS, with a compact frame. I have longish legs with a short reach.

As far as FS or Hardtail goes, I would prefer FS - but cost will dictate since I gather Hardtails tend to be cheaper.

Budget? Negotiable, but I am TOTALLY looking for a starter bike, that can fall numerous times without me caring. In other words, I don't want to spend a ton of money. Besides that, I have to figure in shipping costs.

Thanks - I look forward to more replies.

Hi Amanda - I know I've been off the forum, but still riding. Good to see I am remembered.

    Specialized Mtn Bike for Sale

I have a 13" 2006 Specialized Rockhopper Women's Comp for sale. I'm only 5' tall but if you're still looking you could check out the geometry on the Specialized website to see if it would work for you. It's been very gently used. Only off road a couple times. I've decided to stick to road biking. Let me know if you'd like pictures. Thanks!
