    suggestions from computer experts?

    I'm running Mac OSX 10.4.11.

I switched from Safari to Firefox some time ago because Firefox seemed to play better with others, but I've been using Google Apps lately and Firefox doesn't play perfectly with Google Apps.

So I did a little research and downloaded Opera... (v 9.51).

It's acting way buggy. Without exception, it will not open any page without reloading. That is to say, if I hit the "home" button, or type an address in the address bar, I get a big white blank page, indefinitely. However, if I hit refresh, the page snaps up immediately. If I enter search terms in a preloaded page, the same thing happens -- blank page, but when I refresh, search results snap up promptly. It also doesn't seem to want to load my home page on starting up, even though I've chosen that option in my preferences and it shows that option when I call up the preferences menu. Instead I get a blank page, and if I hit refresh, I still get a blank page.

I have a high speed connection and both Safari and Firefox open pages pretty quickly.

I temporarily disabled the "fraud protection" features in Opera and I don't have any Contact Blocking enabled.

I'm not running any firewalls, and I don't have anti-spy/malware programs and (I'm a little embarrassed to admit this, but it IS a Mac), I'm not running antivirus.

Any ideas? Does Opera just suck? A quick google search turns up RAVE reviews...

    thanks!!!!

I love the idea of having an integrated browser/mail client too...

PS Has anyone used Shiira? Comments?

I am on a Mac and running OSX 10.4.11 and use both Firefox and Safari as well as Internet Explorer via Parallels and don't have a problem with my Google accounts although I am not specifically using Apps. I did find this page that may help you: http://googlemac.blogspot.com/2008/0...-mac-os-x.html
There is a link on there to "Mac Groups" that might have answers for you. Google is pretty versatile, so I would be surprised if they did not set Google Apps up to work with a variety of Browsers including Firefox and Safari.

    Hope that helps
