Tonight I rode the usual 20 mile loop. I went solo cause BF had other plans. No worries, I put in a personal best, averaging 19.2 mph. What a rush! I think I could get obsessed with this!

I haven't ridden the last couple of days. It was too darn hot. That normally wouldn't have stopped me, but I knew a cool front was on it's way. It's here now!

I did my 16 mile loop with a friend. I felt really tired during the day and chalked it up to medication. When I started my ride, I felt dead, and my lungs were acting up. Since my friend is a slower rider, I appreciated the necessary stopping at certain points while I was waiting for her. Although I did feel better after the first half of the ride, I realized that since this horribly hot and humid weather started, I have not felt great while riding. It was cooler yesterday, but still humid. So, after I made sure I saw my friend behind me, I got in a line of cars and rounded the little rotary in Carlisle center to head back down Lowell Rd. Except, my friend saw me signaling left and she turned on the street before. I didn't see this, and when I realized she wasn't behind me, i stopped a little ways up the road and waited. After 5 minutes, I gave up and knew she would meet me back at my house. I was able to ramp the speed up on the second half, but my average was still pitiful, just below 15. However, I did climb up the steep side of my street, so I could get momentum to get up my driveway on the downhill.
I woke up this morning with a terrible allergy attack and another day of rain...

I rode to work with a friend. It is about 8 miles, but gets pretty hilly with a very large hill right at the end of the ride. It was a nice morning, and I made it up my "goal hill" without having to switch to my granny gear! The ride home was windy! We are planning on doing it again tomorrow.
