Looks nice to me. Not a bad price either. Needs some cleaning and TLC. I'll bet it steel though, not alumimum. Take a magnet if you go look at it. Steel is a much smoother ride. Hope to see a "look what I got" picture soon.

I'm picking up another old mixte on Monday. They kinda get under your skin. bikerHen

Good thought on the magnet. It's one of those things I know, but would not have thought to do.

doh! the ad says its been sold.
I highly doubt its aluminum. It's from an era when all bikes were made of steel. The seller may just be looking at the silver color paint?

Bummer! Keep looking SouthernBelle. I've been haunting the local CL for months and the mixtes do pop up and I buy them. It's an addiction. I may beat out East Hill for the most Mixtes soon. bikerHen

the shop down the street from me has a teeny tiny mixte right now..... very tempting as my utility bike was stolen recently. I do not need another bike, I do not need another bike, I do not need another bike..... (especially not one that needs maintenance and hard to find parts....)

That was a Grand Touring. Those were nice steel bikes. Not really designed for long-distance loaded touring, but two steps up from Motobecane's cheapest 10-speed in the early 70s. Too bad you missed it.
