Thinking about Specialized? Might want to buy now!

My husband just bought a Specialized Stumpjumper Comp today and was shocked to find out it came with $250 of free Specialized gear. It wasn't a set thing either, it was his choice. He picked up some new gloves and new mountain bike shoes. The shop said it was a Specialized Tour de France promo and depended on how much the bike was (less than $1000 was $50, S-works was $400). Pretty cool if you are in the market for a new bike and leaning towards Specialized.

WooHoo! Looks like we are getting an out of cycle "salary adjustment" next month at work, so I was starting to look at mountain bikes... I love my specialized road bike... this might just be the incentive I need... now to just find out how much the adjustment will be.....fingers crossed!

Dr- It looks like it goes through the tour.

My husband tested a Trek Fuel and the Stumpjumper, both full suspension. In the end he still couldn't decide but we got the impression from all the mountain riders at the store that the Stumpie was just a pinch more favored. He was slightly leaning to it anyway because it had a slightly smaller feeling cockpit. We didn't know about the promo until after he had decided though and then he was really happy because he got the high end shoes free. I was happy because the Stupie was $100 cheaper.
