I'm looking for a road bike for a friend of mine. She's not a serious biker, though I'm working on that

She's looking for a decent road bike but not looking to spend too much money. Price range around $500. We're in the Chicago area but are willing to drive if you're in a nearby state.

Hi Betagirl I just got into cycling as well, and found a lot of possibilities on a site called craigslist. They have sub-pages for most large cities; that's how I found my road bike.

Check out Lunacycles.com under store. Margo has an Eclipse for sale that is already built and you can e-mail her with your measurements to see if the bike will fit.
