Umm..how does one post a link? I've seen it and have no clue how to do it

I just tried using the insert link button on the little box beside the one for images but it didn't work...

I just use the ol' cut-and-paste method (cut and paste the url into my post). Perhaps there is a fancier way of doing it, but it seems to work okay.

When you push the "Insert Link" icon (globe with a chain link), be sure that, at the very beginning, the "http://" is not there twice.

Best way for me:
- it's best to have TE open AND the page you want to link
- go to the page you want to link
- right click on the address bar of the page you want to link
- go to your TE message page, hit the "Insert Link" icon and paste copied link
- before hitting "OK", arrow back to the beginning of the link's address and delete the duplicate "http://"

Your inserted link must begin with the "http://", but can't have it twice.

Hope that helps. It's hard to articulately describe each step precisely...would be much easier to show, but Perth is just too darn far

(although the "code" tags in bbcode are supposed to allow code being shown, I had to insert a ... after the first square bracket!!)

you can key in the code or type "try this link", highlight it, and hit the globe/chain icon and paste your URL in the popup as mr. silver sez.
