    Pearl Izumi custom jersey question

    To disable ads, please log-in.

I'm trying not to be a PITA with a co-worker, but I'm trying to give her the correct size for my company jersey order.

I've now asked her several times if the jerseys are available in women's sizes. Her consistent answer is: "That are Club Fit They are Pearl Izumi." I can't find a size chart on PI's site at all and I certainly can't find any reference to women's jerseys in club fit. I only remember from years past that PI only used the term "club fit" for men's jerseys.

    Anyone know anything helpful?

I called PI and left a message with their custom jersey program person. PI is just starting up their custom jersey program so there is no info on the web. I spoke to someone in their "normal" production department who said that regular jerseys only come in form, semi-form and loose fit. Maybe the PI custom dept has just adopted the typical "race" and "club" fit that the custom jersey industry uses.

    Grrr.

Unless the co-worker responds back differently, the PI custom jersey rep told me that our company was only ordering the men's semi-form fit jersey. I asked this co-worker three times if the jerseys were available in women's sizes. Weeks later now I've told her to take my name off the list. For $65 the jersey had better come close to fitting.

Ugh, what a drag. I hate wearing men's jerseys- so uncomfortable! I don't blame you for dropping out.

It sounds like she doesn't really understand cycling jerseys.

What's cycling specific about women's and men's sizing? Excuse me, but are those men's undies or women's undies?

She's a client executive also. I wonder if she selectively answers the clients' questions the same way.

Does she not understand boobs or skinny waists? Jeez.

Anyway, I was checking out Pearl's Slipstream store and there is a woman's "Pro Form" (m&w) fit and there is also a "Semi Form" (w only) fit, which as you might guess is a more relaxed fit. Plain old "Form Fit" is men's only.

There doesn't even seem to be a men's "Semi Form" fit, so it appears the PI rep may be as much to blame here as your co-worker.
