anyone know of any good week long tours in July...

my vacation plans for July have suddenly changed...

and I have two weeks available...

I am looking for a bike tour... can be a week long or shorter... between July 12 and July 29

RAGBRAI is out, as it's filled up. There are people selling wristbands, but I feel uncomfortable doing that if it is not official.

    any ideas?

    How 'bout this:

You could also talk to the organizers of RAGBRAI to see if they're cool with people changing places - it may be fine. That way you'd have an "official" answer.

Otherwise, self supported? Credit card touring?

You might check out this tour in Wisconsin:

There's another on at the end of July and into early August, too.

    cycle america

My husband and I are doing the Cycle America Glacier/Waterton National Park tour during that time. It's a camping tour, meals are provided. Cycle America gives great support, too. www.cycleamerica.com

They probably have another tour during that week, also, because they go across the country during the summer, and offer week-long tours going from West to East.

    Tour BC in Canada

http://tourbc.net/index.html One of these years I'm going to do this one - this year it's from July 13-19th and I can't go again - I've spent lots of time talking to the organizers, during the Seattle Bike Show. I've known people who have ridden with them and they will do so again depending on the route.

Hope you find a good tour for yourself :-)
    Enjoy

Come to Louisville for the week! The Louisville Bicycle Club offers numerous rides every day. You can meet some great people and ride through some beautiful countryside. Check out their website and all the rides being offered. Seriously, I think you would have a wonderful time!
