LOL thanks for the laugh! It's like a comic told via pictures of your dogs.

Love it!!! Such good looking doggies. Maybe you just need three pools? Of course, then they would probably all just want to get into the same one anyways. Do all of your dogs like the water?

We'll be getting a kiddie pool soon but I think we need to wait for the little foster guys to get bigger. I can only imagine the mess! Here's what we did during the heatwave...

    That's great.

Then if you look at my avatar you can see what poor dogs who don't have a pool have to do....

Well, that one is a shepherd too--an australian shepherd named Jodi Bell. She rules the roost so to speak.

Aly, your fosters are soooo cute! I really like puppies.

I went a couple of years ago and bought a pool for my two dogs so they could cool off in the heat. So how did they repay my kindness??? They refused to use it! They would stop for a drink from it but heaven forbid that they would get in and get their feet wet....whimps!

Thanks Sundial- they are looking for forever homes and the rescue has adopted out of state... maybe it's time for a fourth?

Fujichants- mom is a small shepherd mix with lots of shepherd. I have no idea yet what the dads were, but they sure made some cute puppies. There are 11 in the bunch and I'm guessing 2-3 baby's daddies. They should be posted up on the rescue site at www.sheprescue.org soon. We're in LA, too. Need a new puppy? Or two?

The puppies have been a lot of extra work, but have been loads of fun, too. I'm just relieved that it finally cooled off here. I was really worried about them when the heat reached 112. They're kenneled in the garage (with an air conditioner), but it was just so hot... We have 4 dogs and some other animals in the house, so it's been a little crazy. I want to get a pool for our big dogs, but I'm pretty sure we'll have the exact same experience as LoriO, plus a huge mess from me trying to make them understand how great the pool is.

I think it's too funny that the Austrailian Shepherd is the one owning the pool. Is that indicative of Jodi Bell's personality? We watch one fairly regularly and he's a genius and always takes charge of the others. They're amazing dogs, just a little too much energy for me. I'm almost to breaking point with my high energy gsd girl.
