    Is it called being Freded?

We discussed the term "chicked" but when you get passed by Fred is it "Freded"? This morning I was commuting and doing my normal meandering. I usually pay no attenion to my speed, just spin along and check my watch to see if I will be on time. Out of no where I hear a "good Morning". Scared the bejeezus out of me since I am used to having this strecth of road to myself. He was in a plain t-shirt, white socks up to the calves, baggy shorts, loaded for the commute and blew right by. I don't care if I get passed but it was just funny since he matched the original definition of a Fred I had heard.

I definitely think that term should be Fredded too. I mentioned as much on that 'chicked' thread. I get Fredded all the time.

LOL - Fredded! hee hee... That is not something I look forward to.

I missed the whole "chicked" post though. I LOVE chick'ing guys. You know its gotta be really demoralizing to them. Sorry, men of TE.. There just aren't many places in life where we women can show that kind of strength over men. hee hee...

I generally find that the Freds in life are the ones to be aware of the most, especially as they get older.

I started the morning by giving myself a chain ring tattoo as well. My regular bike is a carbon bike with a triple. I try to be a Fred but I am just not fast enough.

I don't know if this qualifies as being "Fredded", but get this... My husband and I were doing our first century of the season. The first 80 were great-- then we turned into a 25 mph headwind for the last 24. My husband, who refused to ride the trainer in the winter and is now paying, bonked with about 15 miles to go. I was still pretty strong, so I told him to draft on me. Thing is, as we went, gradually 8 other guys sucked wheel too! One of them offered to take a turn pulling-- did so for about 30 seconds, then peeled off, leaving me up again! Rage at the morons probably got me through the last 5 miles-- and it definitely didn't let up when 500 yards to the finish, they all zipped past me, so as to not be seen being pulled by a GIRL!!! (All except my husband, of course, who looked like he was going to puke. )
