From my recent experience, those downed trees on the canal are unusual. Crews are hard at work keeping the trail clear.
The GAP sure does look like a smooth stretch of highway...I did 32 miles today- Harper's Ferry to Barron's Museum-and I'm pooped from the rocks and the roots!
and Barron's was closed when I got there!
So I sat on these steps and ate raisins and a brownie

i should try that one out on the canal. I like it on the road (but I like my Trek better)

Yeah, I did. It's kinda nice with the options of shocks but yes, we took the hybrids on the Canal. Part of the reason we got hybrids in the first place. Oh yes, I would imagine the Trek would be a nicer ride. I'm glad that you have taken the Nomad for a spin.
