    Terry Symmetry: Opinion?

    To disable ads, please log-in.

Hi all. I have a chance to buy an older (10 yr old) Terry Symmetry, back when they had 600c (24 inch) tires on both front and back. Haven't seen the bike yet (going tonight), but I know it will be in great condition considering that it is owned by the wife of LBS repair guy. He's who set me up on my Specialized Road bike that I love, so I trust his judgement.

Anyone have any comments good / bad / indifferent about this bike or the tire size in general?

The price is $300, and he mentioned that his wife is about 2.5 inches shorter than I am, and so I may need to get adjustments (ie, stem) to make it fit, but he's pretty sure it's easily doable.

This would be a bike I'd use as a commuter type if I got it.
    Would love some opinions!
    THANKS!
    Jes

Well, never mind after all! I tried out that bike tonight and my torso is way too long for it! Those are some petite little bikes!
    Thanks, anyway! I'll keep looking.
