It supports 3 really great charities and a very high proportion of the money raised will actually make it to the charity and not get eaten up by administration. I don't want to get into a big discussion about where donated money goes, but I do want to say that the company that is running this event has the best stats you can find in terms of your dollar truly ending up paying for something useful.

I won't be doing this event because I have a very big race that day/week. But I've already donated.
