Need help with ichat

Does anyone on here have a mac and know how to use ichat? I have an imac at home and hubby has an ibook at work. We cannot get the video part to connect to each other and I was hoping someone on here would chat thru the video with me to see if my end works OK. I have an AOL AIM account and can get my video screen to pop up but it won't connect to hubby's ibook. Probably something on his wireless internet connection. Anyone willing to help? We can talk thru PM's if you don't want to disclose your IM name.
