    Cycling Magazines?

Hi all - I am new to the forum and am wondering if you recommend any magazines the focus on road biking? I was at Boarders yesterday and looked through some of the magazines, but didn't notice anything specific to women. Thanks for your help!

    Sincerely,

I would love to see a women-centered cycling magazine, or even one that acknowledges that there are women cyclists. It seems like all the major magazines out there feature only dudes. Hot dudes, usually, but I get tired of seeing the sport as a male domain.

Some time ago Bicycling used to publish a women's only cycling magazine. I don't think they offer it anymore.

If you were interested in mountain biking, DirtRag is an interesting read. It's a cultural type mag. Lots of neat pictures too.

I've come to the conclusion that it's a gentleman's sport. If you want to ride among men, and their testosterone kicks in, they'll not give one hooey about you as they drop you and sprint off into the sunset. But if they find out the girls are organizing a ride, they want to invite themselves and then drop you on the ride. Whatever.

    That's the rumor....

Bicycling just did a "special section" for women last month. It was 2/3 advertising for women specific products and one humorous article on learning to change a flat.
