My workplace team finally got our jerseys! Gotta show them to you.
This started with a handful of cyclists at my workplace who thought it might be fun to ride a bit together and then enter a race as a team. From there we got to talking about designing our own jerseys. We were promised a little sponsoring from my workplace, as long as the jerseys were available to anybody who wanted them, not just the team. After a long and impossibly argumentative process we finally had a design - and 52 orders! And now, 8 weeks later, we have jerseys. NOT quite the clear red I'd envisioned to begin with, but still - they're highly visible, original, and we got them in time for that first (and possibly only) race we're entering tomorrow!
Here a handful of my colleagues posing in front of the office. The guy with the long sleeves next to me is one of my teammates.

She's in Norway! I had a an ex-student who was a foreign exchange student from Germany visit me yesterday. (He's attending college in the US and still drops by). He and a friend decided they wanted to fix up a couple of old bikes and ride them. He was commenting on how no one rides bikes in the US. He even had to take a class on biking in the third grade. It really was terrific to see how he is converting his friends to biking here.

You are skinny! That's why you look skinny!
Wow 52 . . . Wish I lived in Oslo!
I am the lone bike commuter here where I work. And I have tried to get others to ride but no luck.
Great looking jersey!!
We had jerseys at my last company (predominantly for our MS150 team, but people wore them all year). We had to sell over 100 each year in order to get company financial help. Our team was about 40 people (only 3 or 4 of us commuted, most were recreational riders) but we sold a ton of jerseys to employees and customers based in Europe. It was way more popular over there!

Thank you for all the wellwishings. It's gonna be HOT tomorrow so I'll need them...
There probably are about 50 people or so who commute by bike in summer, at least occasionally (out of a total of 400), but funny thing is - the ones who ordered jerseys aren't necessarily the ones who bike a lot, or even the ones who exercise regularly. That was quite a surprise, but still really cool, actually, that my colleagues are proud of where they work and are happy to show it even just biking casually to the beach or whatever.
Some of the fittest people didn't order a jersey cause they weren't "real cyclists"... funny.
