    Kangaroo Jumps

On my ride today I came across a woman with a very odd running style; from a distance it just looked like her steps were slow, exaggerated and stompy, but her hair was flying in a strange way, and I couldn't begin to understand why she was moving her arms so robotically. I kept trying to figure out what was so odd about her as I drew closer and closer. Finally, as I passed her, I saw that she was running with a pair of these

and a light went on, and I thought: Hey! THAT IS SOOO COOL! When I got home I tried to google them and maybe find a pair for myself. Almost $300 a pair! Not THAT cool, I guess. Has anybody else seen these in action? The dork factor is pretty high, but they look like a lot of fun...

She might need to use her tail if she's doing kangaroo jumps...

Not for jumping but rolling- I'm getting a pair of these tanks in the mail today to try out for outdoor rough-asphalt skating:

I can't imagine jumping on those kangaroo things- I'd think they'd be very hard to control safely!

    those look seriously cool too!

Now that I think about it, the woman didn't look like she was having fun, so it could have been that they were indeed hard to control (especially with no tail)
