Any one tried or know anything about the Zipp 404 clincher wheelset?

My boyfriend has them and I have used the rear wheel previously(with my Mavic carbon pro on the front). I will be using them this sunday to race, since he took my wheels to the Tour of Atlanta(one of the 404s needed respoked from an incidence in a crit last week), so I will let you know how they compare to the Mavics after that if you want.

From what I know, Zipps have faster acceleration, where Mavics hold the speed longer.

Hope you can wait for my review, and hopefully some others will chime in.

The only thing I'm not a huge fan of is having the aluminum rim. I prefer my Mavics because of the full carbon rim, but I have no idea if I will even notice that while riding.

Yeah I would like to hear how they worked for you. I will be floating down a river this weekend so I am in no rush.
I have heard a lot of great things about them but all the great things came from men who ride with them. I was just wondering if women feel the same speed with them.

Good luck in your race and let me know. Thanks

Great Wheels! Tubulars are lighter, but can't go wrong with Zipps. Cheaper alternatives are available, if that is important.
