    Discovery: a cyclist-family member!

My partner had NO idea until he got to Germany that his cousin’s hubby had converted to regular cycling enthusiast. Apparently a strong cyclist that loves to do 40 kms. after work daily. So during visit they both happily did 50 kms. …including a shop at the uber mega-bike store in Dusseldorf where they live, mentioned in another TE thread: http://forums.teamestrogen.com/forumdisplay.php?f=27

Dearie met these relatives 12 yrs. ago. (in same city). At that time, the guy was learning how to use his bike gears to get up a local hill. So dearie, showed him a few things.

Last year I learned of another family member living far away who did an impressive ride. My 10 yr. old nephew rode a 50 km. cycling fundraiser ride.

It’s cool when, unbeknowest to you, another family member is engaged in cycling well.

Well, for certain when this same German relative and his wife, visit us this September, he most definitely will want to cycle as part of the city/area tour!

Germany is a great place to ride. I remember a network or paths that connected Hanau and surrounding towns. There were also excerise stations interspersed here and there (parcourse).

It sounds like he's road riding though.
    Still, its Germany!

I hope you get to go sometime.
