well....I do own a Trek....however they say "experienced bikers" meaning they won't want my "XL" spandex in their commercial!! LOL

I'm sure they would want a vision of lance armstrong types busting up a hill or something!

Altho...if anyone wants to get in on it, but don't own a trek...I'll volunteer up My ride!!!!!!

It's too bad that they are limiting the ages of the people they'll take. Most of the best and most experienced riders I know are older than 35.

Hey...WAIT A MINUTE.....ya...what's up with that?? over 35 is 'too old' for their commercial?? almost all the cyclist I have seen so far ARE mid 30's and up!!

That does limit their participants!! and besides that, on a marketing stand point, they would have a better chance to inspire potential buyers into a sale by showing a broader range of riders!

As if you are riding? So if a 52 y.o rode there .... in real traffic We'd be rejected as too old?

Ya' know a lot of our TE gals and guys who are waaaaaay over 35. Folks would never guess until the helmet comes off and you see a little or a lot of gray. And that Mr/Ms director is your ad.

25 year olds cycling? Whatever, they are 25. But see someone having fun, looks fit and confident and then .... woah!! They're 40, 50, 60 .... what is their fountain of youth? Cycling.

Guess I'm not their market share. Does not make me want a Trek again. Unless someone sees my old Trek420.

Funny thing is I bet that right now in Portland there's a bunch of budding stars/starletts running into LBS "I gotta get a Trek and the gear!!!" Let them audition, if I was in Portland I would not want to ride with that group

PS: I don't think they can discriminate based on age. They could say they need fit, athletic, agressive riders, and so on. I don't think they can say the age.

Yeah right. Hardly Seriously I'll be glad to see national bike ads, I think that's what we need to raise awareness, think it will be good for us.

I just think they're limiting themselves. But hey, everyone wants to direct.
