    Shoulder pain?

I've been getting some major sore-ness shoulder pain at the back of my shoulder/base of my neck area after rides - and today I realized that this is ONLY on the left side of my body.. I'm guessing this has something to do with the fact that I usually brake with my left hand.

Anyone ever have this problem? Is this just most likely a too long stem/too long top tube issue?

    Thanks!

    Hi,

I have a back problem but its not on the left side, its my right side. This is because my left side is too lazy and my right side is compensating by doing all the work. That is what we think is going on. So I've been working on strengthening my left side, trying to strech out my right side. and whole bunch of other exercises. I also tend to hike up my right hip, sitting driving a car, riding a bike...

Now if your shoulder is too tight, it may not have to do with you braking with left hand at all. It definitly has to do wih how you are using your body as a whole. Are you riding with tight upper body? Are you holding tension in your shoulder? and is your bike proerly adjusted/fitted to you?

You may want to see a PT/ a good professional fitter and someone who can see how your body mechanic is while cycling.

To answer your question, yes I do have a sore spot on my right lower back. Slightly different than yours but similar in that something isn't quite right.
