    My First Century is Saturday!

I think I'm ready. I'm so excited! I started riding last spring, just over a year ago. Last year at this time I was struggling to ride 15 miles on my mountain bike and now I'm hooked, got a road bike, and even have the clipless shoes. Never thought I'd turn into a "cyclist" LOL!

I've ridden the entire course just not all at once. I know to pace myself, drink lots of water, and make sure to eat a little every hour. Any other tips I should know about?

    Wish me luck!

    Thanks, thanks, thanks!

A friend from the club I ride with called and wanted to know if I was riding the century Sat. She's not sure if she'll do the entire 100 but wanted to ride together so that will be fun! The only part I don't want to do alone is Webber Canyon. I'm good at mentally defeating myself on hills so I'm much better if I can talk to someone as I ride up and distract the bad voices in my head.

Remember to replace electrolytes. Water is good, but drink sports drinks or eat salty foods, too.
