Well, it's 8.00 pm over here in England and I think around midday in Arizona.

Wow, I bet all you guys are preparing everything and getting just a tiny bit excited, nervous and all the other adrenalin sorta stuff rushing around your head.

Anyway, I so wish all of you a fantastic day tomorrow, especially for anybody that does not finish, being involved is pretty amazing.

Good luck...............especially my friend Denise - RunningMommy

    Thanks Ladies

I'm off to bed soon. That 4am wake up call will kill me otherwise.
I got a good nap this afternoon. I think I slept for 2-3 hours. It felt SOOO good!
I made a sign for Laura at the expo today. It says "GO LAURA! TEAM ESTROGEN REPRESENTS!" Hopefully she'll see it.
I also did an electronic message to her for the "motivational mile". It's a spot where we go over a mat and our chip triggers the computer to flash a message up on a big LED screen.
Your limited to 25 characters, so I just put "GO LAURA! TE SISTER" Hopefully she'll get it.
Anyway, I want to thank you for helping to push me through this. I just hope I make it out of the water in time. Being such a slow swimmer that's always my worry. That and a bike mechanical.
It looks like it's gonna be hot- like 95 degrees hot. Our humidity was down to 5% tonight, so it's also bone dry. Today was windy early on, but it doesn't look like that'll be a problem tomorrow. Forecasts say wind from the east at 5-10 mph. That's considered calm for the desert. But coming from the east that means a head wind for the first 8 miles out, and then a cross wind for the 20 miles up and down the beeline, and of course a tail wind for the 8 back.
But don't forget- we do 3 out and back loops. So it'll be a bit breezy, but nothing I can't handle.
I hope to be off the bike by 4:15-4:30 (pacific time). Of course that will put me on the run during the hottest part of the day. But hey, it's Ironman- it's not suppose to be easy! Tho it's never fun to be fried like a chicken. It'll be survival mode until sundown at 7:00 pm. Of course by then my wheels will have fallen off anyway... OY... this marathon is gonna be UGLY!

Well, I'll be thinking about ya'll tomorrow. And I'll try not to keep you up too late, but I have no visions of a 10:00 pm finish like I did last year... sigh..

Thanks for your thoughts and prayers!
    much love
    Denise

    Thumbs up

It took me ages to find out where to track people doing the race, at long last, I got it sorted.

Just in case there are any others trying to find the page, here's the link, goodness, I am getting so excited.

    http://ironman.com/events/ironman/ar...tracker&y=2008

If anybody has any other link for info on the race, be good to know.

I have even managed to reset the time on my puta to Pacific time, seeing as you guys in Arizona are 7 hours behind UK, sheeeeesh, this is taxing my brain!

    Cheers.

............"Maybe someday I'll give it another go, but for now I'm good with one spectacular finish".
