    Test Anxiety

Waiting for test results from the doctor is bad enough, but when it's results for your child... AGONIZING!

I'd hit the roads for a really long, stress-reducing ride, but that defeats the whole idea of being at home to get the call.

Keep super busy. Sorry that you have to wait for test results for one of your kids. Please, if you are comfortable with letting us know, keep us posted. I'll pray for you.

I have been going through this for months now constantly waiting on results for my niece. I am always on the phone with my sister keeping her mind busy while she waits. It is the worst part! Like already suggested keep busy busy busy. It is spring maybe clean out a closet and organize it. Something like that would keep me busy for days.
Hang in there! Come here and write to us if you need too. There are some very supportive people here who will help see you through.

You can't change the results by waiting for them. Go for a ride.

"Scanxiety" - it is a new word I've learned since venturing into the world of cancer with my sistser. And it is quite an accurate one. Though we joke that I don't sleep a wink the night before a CT or PET for her, but she seems to sleep just fine. Apparently one of my roles in this is keeper of the scanxiety.

I feel for you and hope all is well - prayers for you and for everyone waiting on any medical results also!
You too can help me fight cancer, and get a lovely cookbook for your very own! My team's cookbook is for sale Click here to order. Proceeds go to our team's fundraising for the Philly Livestrong Challenge!

    Thanks

We appreciate the thoughts and prayers! DH and a cycling buddy of ours went for a long ride yesterday; I stayed home and kept busy creating school work for the girls. (The local schools are on spring break, but I didn't plan a vacation for Johnson Academy. That's not as mean as it sounds -- my girls LOVE school.) Anyway, no phone call yesterday.

I had a dental appointment this morning, so I biked the 5 miles into town and then headed south from there once the teeth were blindingly white again. Got to do 10 miles of lonely, winding country roads without seeing a single vehicle before I had to turn around and dash for home in order to beat the rain. Woo-hoo!

Of course, there was a message on the machine from the pediatrician's office when I arrived. Still not sure what we're dealing with, but at least we now know what we're not dealing with. Whew! Follow-up visit in two weeks, and then we'll take it from there.

    Thanks again for your concern!
