    Just ordered the frames

No, not the bike kind. I wish! Just ordered the frames for my paintings. I'm getting ready for a solo show and I'm getting down to the wire with the paintings. Ack! I really want to ride my bike to de-stress, but unfortunately, I rode my mtb too much lately and now I've overtrained. I've been imparting caffeine and dark chocolate to combat it all. I'll be glad when the show's over so I can get back on schedule.

Sundial - when and where is your show? Will we get to see some photos? I'm sending you lots of calm but energetic butterflies so you can get ready and not be worried and hopefully even get on your bike for a wee bit.

    Hugs,

good luck with your show. Tell us more. At least I'm familiar with your work.
I've been adding frames little by little. They're expensive; although I'm planning a foray to a second hand store, I understand you can get nice frames that way.

How fun for you to get to do a solo show! Knock em dead! I hope it all goes smoothly and you can look back with a huge smile and a great big ol' check in your pocket! (I assume it is a sale show)

Let us know how it goes. I love your paintings.

Thank you LBTC for the healing butterflies. I feel better already. Mimitabby and Flybye, my show is 11 April at the Lulalyn Gallery in Memphis, TN. I normally work large but I'm working on smaller pieces and sometimes it's more challenging. That's what I'm trying to finish up now.

When I finish, I'll give you guys a sneak preview.

    I miss you guys

It's been a long week and I am just about finished with the paintings. I miss sitting down to a cup of virtual coffee with you gals and chatting.

Well, you know your Aunt & Uncle Latelate will be at that opening in spirit (specially if there's bourbon - watch closely as the level of the bottle magically lowers!) Take care of yourself and enjoy the ride. You've been working hard, and the training shows.

those are fantastic colors and I can only see them on my computer screen- they must be much more beautiful in person.

    Aunt and Uncle Latelate, LOL!!

Thanks everyone for your kind words and well wishes. I have 15 paintings for the show and I feel pretty good about it. Most of my work is large with several 36x48 and a few 48x60, but I did several small studies as well. Hope we have a good turnout at the gallery next weekend.
