    Smile Really Really Glad

    Mother Nature cooperated this weekend:
High 40s(F) and sunny for the weekEND (and back into the 30s with rain/sleet/snow for the werk-week). Yes!

Happy to report a group road ride of 60+ miles on Saturday with 17 miles off-road Sunday. Finally!

Guess what? Running-fitness does not equal bike-fitness (duh)
    I'll sleep well tonight....

Hope everyone else had a great weekend!

I also am really, really glad--almost ecstatic! The sun has been shining on Phoenix and drying up some of the flood waters. Yesterday I actually got to do some mountain biking, and today I enjoyed a decent road ride. It is so green and the wildflowers are just starting to bloom. The forecast holds lots of sunny days, perfect for this desert rat. There is only one downside to this glorious weather--no more excuses for not getting out to run or ride!

You're really, really glad, and I'm really, really jealous! We had a beautiful sunny weekend here in the northeast too, but the temperature was still in the 20s. I would probably have bundled up and ventured out on my bike despite the cold, but I'm getting over a really nasty cold and sinus infection, so I thought better of it and kept my outdoor activity to walking.

Anyway - can you do some extra miles for those of us still stuck indoors? Or better yet, can you send share some of your good weather with us? Oh, and there's snow forecast AGAIN for tomorrow night.

Seriously though, have a great time riding!

yep, we finally have sunshine here again in SoCal too! I got in justover 44 miles on Saturday and wanted to ride yesterday but ran outta time... had to take care of my yards... the back was so tall I couldn't MOW it... so had to weed whack all 5000 sf! UGH! BUT, when the dogs go out I can actually see them again

by the time I did that, laundry, grocery shopping etc I was outta time to ride... maybe tonight I can get an hour of hill repeats in if traffic isn't too bad!

we had a decent day Sat. I did a run up a local mtn. and Sun was too cold then it started snowing, we got 9 + inches, it snowed all day yesterday, I did ride on the trainer 30 min in the morning, when the snow slowed down I headed to the gym to swim, they had closed at 2:00! so I went home and rode another 40 min on the trainer. Send some good weather our way please

And it has *finally* stopped raining in California!

My god it's a miracle - it has actually stopped raining ...at least for the moment! I was beginning think about buying a boat Of course, the roads are a mess up here in the mountains with mud and debris all over plus the asphalt is all torn up in places so riding is certainly an adventure. But at least it isn't raining so I'll be off to try out my new Speedplay Zero pedals. I'll let you know if I unclip with dignity when I have to stop...

Hey Let me know how those pedals work out. I'm in the market for new road pedals (and shoes!), and not sure what to get.
    Cheers!
