Thom has been working on taking movies during some of our rides using my small Sony camera. If you go to our website you can see one that's a mountain bike descent. The descent was really about 12 minutes long, but he's cut it down to a 4:30 section. It was Super Bowl Sunday, so a nice sunny day.

Jason, Jenny, Bubba and I just watched! Very cool! Where is this?

Jason wants to know the camera stuff also. What, how, etc. We had to wipe the drool off his face.

It's out at Black Diamonds. I had been thinking about offering a group ride out there. Now it will be too wet. But in a few weeks it will be good again. We usually do this as an out and back. The descent is sweet.

The camera is a Sony P10, it was mounted on his handlebars, but I'm going to make an arm strap for mounting instead. He used Virtual Dub to edit it and make it smaller.

    Hey Veronica,
You might want to invest in a little Helmet camera that attaches to your video camera. They can be mounted to your helmet and then you carry the video camera in your pack. I got one for hubby for xmas at helmetcamera.com
It is so cool. He took it skiing this week and we plan on using it biking if the snow ever goes away.

Thanks for the suggestion, but he's trying to do with the equipment he already has. Heaven knows we've spent enough on camera gear.
