    There's a street in my town named after him--Major Taylor Blvd. (actually a fairly recent development--it used to be Worcester Center Blvd. and I think the name change happened within the past year or two).

    I just finished reading his autobiography. I found it in a used book store; there is a new one out, though. Just reading about how he was referred to in the newspaper, even here in MA, where he was generally accepted was sickening.

    nice! I'd read about him before but never got to see a photo.
