Glad you got more than "trainer" miles in Mak
I didn't ride at all on my Friday - its usually a "rest" day for me.

Started the day off with 8 miles on my trainer.
The forecast looked promising so I loaded my bike and gear into my car before heading off to work. I decided after work to ride so I did a quick change and debated about what to wear - I talked myself out of the warm gloves and jacket and wished I had not later in the ride. I got in 18.5 miles after work - a very chilly ride. However, I felt very smooth on the ride and enjoyed it a lot. I needed to work off some of my "parent" stress before our parent/teacher conferences on Monday. I love parents who talk a good talk but in reality are not stepping up to the plate when it comes to their kids (sorry - needed to vent!) Back to my ride - it was a gray, chilly day with a wind blowing out of the southwest. When I left school it was probably 50 degrees with a wind chill in the mid-40's. The chilly breeze kept me cool and at times cold but I made it back to my building and had a smile on my face so it was a good day.
I took my new bike in for its 90 day "check-up." I sure am enjoying my new ride and am looking forward to this coming season. I may take my old, trusted friend out for a spin tomorrow afternoon given it is suppose to be in the low 50's and partly sunny.

Courage does not always roar. Sometimes, it is the quiet voice at the end of the day saying,
"I will try again tomorrow".
