After reading this article, I am livid. Seriously? We're going to just sit back and let greed and oil kill an entire species - sickening. The U.S polar bears are down to 2 populations, and we're just letting the money mongers quietly make back room deals so one of those two populations a given a death sentence. And it's not even a kind death, it's a slow, painful, and torturous way to go - starvation. Just think...at this rate, in most all of our lifetimes - polar bears will be something of the past, an animal our kids will only get to read about.
I have been googling and searching the USFWS website, but can't figure out how to contact them (or Mr. Hall) to complain. If anyone knows, please post it. The 800# listed is automated and doesn't have any options for public concerns/comments.
I'm not usually one to get upset like this, sorry. I guess I thought there was a line the oil folks would draw - that eliminating an entire species would kinda be something that would get them to back off. I guess I'm shocked at the inhumanity of this.
