I have a pair of Pearl Izumi size small/medium toe warmer covers that are free to a good home. My ex bought them for me, but I wear a women's size 9 shoe... NOT a small!

They're in good shape and free. If ya need a pair, just holler.

Wow! I could use them. The ones I have are marked S/M so although they are a snug fit on my shoes, they do work. And I sort of shredded mine by not removing them when I walked over to the bike shop last week when I was shuttling bikes back and forth. So now they are hanging by a thread....

Ahh, Calien-toes!
I just about wore out my first pair.
I realize the fairness of a first-come, first-serve system, but what if you went by whose cycling terrain is the coldest, year-round? Uh, hello, Wyoming!

First come first serve seems most fair. If we do this based on weather, I'm in the land of below-zero temperatures galore - which, actually has me wondering if toe covers would be best for moderately cold weather (like WY). It seems to me that the more extreme winter folks, like myself, would be best served by the full foot/ankle coverage of winter cycling booties - rather than just toe covers. (Not that I'd pass them up if you offered them )

Regardless, it's very nice of you to be offering them free. You could easily return them or sell them on eBay, so thank you for your kindness. Good karma is on its way.

Isn't Minnesota having a heat wave right now? Looks like it's just 30 degrees there. I can't complain, it's only down to 9 degrees tonight. It hasn't been below zero in a couple of days. Now, the 60-mph winds are another thing...

But the snow is entirely too deep this year for any cycling, even with studs and flat pedals. It just keeps coming and coming. This could be the snowiest January on recent record. (A good winter to have the DH in the snow removal biz, yes indeedy. He might even pay for his equipment investment.)

The Calientoes are much more useful for cycling once the snow melts but it's still 20 degrees in the mornings. I do envy those of you who have any visible pavement. (New tactic: watching movies on laptop while spinning on trainer) I've never tried booties; they look pretty cumbersome.

And I echo the good karma thing! Wonderful gesture to give those away, and I hope they are well used and loved.

I gave some away to someone on this board a couple of years ago (or was it on Bikeforums?) Anyways, I'm glad I was able to contribute to someone's warm toes.

I don't know why they run so small, those Calientoes. I mean, you need to wear like a 36 for the smalls to fit.

A Minnesota heat wave? Yeah, it lasted one day. It's -13 right now, with a windchill of -40. Back to the reality of winter.

Let this be my learning experience that toe covers are not for me. Need the full on booties for this place...and maybe someday they'll figure out how to heat them. Wouldn't it be cool if you could have some sort of wireless pedal powered heating sensor - so as you bike, your toe/foot covers heat up. Heated handlebars would be nice too. Ok, that was a tangent.

So I guess I shouldn't whine about our temperature in the 30's? I am bad...and a cold weather wuss. I don't ride when it's cold here, I can't even imagine anything negative
