Rain even effects the "little" riders

Well another night of rain (4th day in a row)...woke up this morning and it is wet! Ugh.
My 4 year old comes out and I tell her that its raining again...she puts her hands on her hips and says...

"Hmph - thats not good wer'e bike riding people."

I had to smile because she has completed two round trips (without a crash)to the park and back and last week. Its like she has won a stage in the tour and getting ready to win the whole thing.
The rain has really dampened her training

Love the confidence! Out of the mouths of babes.

    That is so adorable!

There are some phases in your life where the cuteness factor seems to have no effect....however, we have a 2 1/2 yo grandson, and spend a lot of time hanging off of every word he says, imitating him when he's not around, and asking his parents if he's saying anything new.

I SO hope he's into biking like his Amma.

Nic, if she's anything like you, I can totally see her winning a stage in the tour! this is just way too cute.

You got to love what kids will say I don't have any kids and my nieces/nephews are all grown up. This made my day!

It's a little secret you didn't know about us women. We're all closet Visigoths.

Ohh yeah, that put a big ol smile on my face!
It was tough giving up my bike bus driver duties. But I'm here at the shop in the afternoon, so I had no choice. Tho most of the kids still ride anyway. And they promised me that they would be respectful of others and not look like an angry bike riding mob...

Thanks Lorri I am doing really well. Not riding as much as I would like but enough to keep my body at bay. I will have two in school next year for two days a week so I will be able to ride more consistantly and hopefully think about racing sometime soon. Let me know if you are coming into town sometime soon.
I can only hope my girls are into athletics/outdoors stuff as much as I am...just got to keep exposing them and having fun!!! Can't wait to camp this summer!!

Running Mommy - I read a post a while back about your school bike group and I am so determined to start one next year when my daughter starts kindergarten. I can hardly wait!!! Too fun! I love that stuff!
