Lovely Ladies of Team Estrogen:
I hereby challenge every single lurking member, active member, and those in between - to join BikeJournal AND list TE as your club of choice. (If you are bound by other commitments to list a separate club as your primary, no worries - of course).
With the amount of TE members and lurkers - we could have a real chance at getting TE as one of the top 3 clubs. And, how exceptionally cool would it be to have a top club be an all-women's club?!
If you ride tons of miles and haven't joined BikeJournal - DO! If you ride 5 miles every now and whenever - JOIN! Every single mile would help. I'm no cycling bada$$, that's for sure - but the idea that I can be part of a team and do my bit to get that team as close to the top as possible, inspires me.
I hope everyone who hasn't joined BikeJournal will accept this challenge - open another browser right this moment and join the team.
I'm in, this will be my third year.
Year two for me - though I only have 8 trainer miles to contribute so far...

I'm making TE my primary club this year, since I moved away from my favored local club and I haven't yet found a local club here, at least I haven't actively looked!
So TE it is! How do different people log indoor trainer and/or spinning workouts? Some do it by time, but BJ isn't set up for that. I typically assume 15 mph for spinning, and make a note in the my detail for the class (spin class-good, bad, ugly, whatever).
erm...I'm a member but I don't log miles over there. I'm afraid that would take the fun out of riding for me....BUT I haven't started riding yet this year, so maybe I'll feel differently about it when I do start. Of Course, I will be happy to add any miles I log to TE's.

I joined on the 31st, to try to get a better handle on riding and general fitness this year. It's pretty cool, but I can see how it could become too much and take the fun out of riding...

Most days in life don't stand out, But life's about those days that will...
I'll log my km's as soon as i'm able to get back on my bike
There's nothing like having sad puppy eyes when one sees cyclists zoom by and then knowing i'll be back out there soon![]()
You'll get there, CC. Keep positive! Take care of that knee!
I'm a BJ member, too, and DH just put the computer on my new road bike, so I'll be able to track my indoor trainer km's as soon as I get on the bike. I'm struck with a bad cold, so haven't ridden yet this year....the ride I did on the 31st can't count!
Go Team TE!

Good one, Spin
This will be my second year there. I'm aiming for 700 more kms than I got in 2007
Good to try and intice TE lurkers..... they don't have to post to the forum here or in BikeJournal... just log their kms each day (or fill in their rides once a week like I do once I am back at work.
And remember - you don't have to allow others to see your kms/miles... but they still contribute to TE's overall talley.
Courage does not always roar. Sometimes, it is the quiet voice at the end of the day saying,
"I will try again tomorrow".
I joined in September and forgot about it, I just went over and added my paltry 20 (indoor) miles for the year.

Me too, this will be my third year logging miles on BJ. I logged 2200+ miles this year for TE. My first ride this year will be Saturday although it will be trainer miles because I have a nasty cold. ugh

In again...TE got me hooked last year. Glad to see there are more TE-ers listed this year.
CA -- you just have to keep reminding yourself that you tell the journal what you rode; the journal does not dictate to you how many miles you should ride! Then it stays fun.
I never kept track of miles before. I was amazed at what it came out to. Not bad for a 50-ish year old desk jockey.
Done! I guess I have to get a cheap computer to keep track of my indoor miles.
This will be my second full year on Bike Journal in the TE club. Last year, I didn't quite reach 2000 miles (came in 89 miles under): rats rats rats! But this is a new year and a new opportunity--and maybe even a new bike--who knows?![]()

I seem to go great gang-busters with my mileage at the beginning of the year, then gradually forget to enter miles until by the end of the year I'm not entering any miles at all.
This year I bought a computer for my commuter, and I'm gonna try to stick with putting the miles on BikeJournal *all* year. (Inspired by Pansy and RDbut my goal is 1/8 theirs!)
