    2008 will be great

I know things could be far worse, but I am looking forward to having this year behind me. It has been a tough one. I will spare you all of the details. On top of everything that I went through this year, the day after Christmas when I was dirving to work I lost control of my car ( i was going about 50mph) must have hit some black ice. My car slid all over, spun around and hit a cement barrier. Luckily I was not hurt and there was not anyone else out on the roads as it was a little after 5am. My car was still driveable, however I was very nervous as it was my first accident ever. That night I came down with a bad cold and ended up sleeping most of thursday, worked a short day on Friday then slept all weekend. As I said above, I know things could be worse..I guess I am ending this year, out like a lion so that means it should be smooth sailing next year right?? Happy 2008!!

Glad you are okay. 2007 was a tough one for me, too. Details are posted elsewhere in the forums, so I won't repeat. I'm looking forward to continuing on this journey.

Yep, 2007 was a heck of a year. I'm pretty darned sure 2008 is going to be fantastic. I have a hunch this year will be filled with great things.

Wow, Solobiker, I hadn't seen this thread until today. I am sure glad you are ok. Your cold was probably stress induced from your accident. There is nothing scarier than your car hitting black ice (well maybe a few other things can be scarier), but that was bad enough. I hope your 2008 is better in all phases of your life...How are you doing today?

Solo... I replied to this about 36 hours ago - dunno where my post went!

I said something along the lines of how pleased I was you were unscathed and how I hoped your cold disappeared real quick with that weekend sleep

Def smooth sailing for you this year... all the way

Courage does not always roar. Sometimes, it is the quiet voice at the end of the day saying,
    "I will try again tomorrow".

Solo - 2007 was an incredibly tough year for me, too. I'm doing everything in my power to make 2008 better and have a good attitude about it. I'm so glad you weren't hurt in the accident and I hope 2008 is a great one!

2007 also was a bad one for me. It started off bad on New Years Day (I remember telling a good friend between the tears that day that this was a bad omen as to what the year would bring). Boy was I right! Anyway - I like the rest of you guys survived the year and I'm sure we are all a bit stronger from the various ordeals/problems we faced in 2007. I was very excited to see 2007 exit and the arrival of 2008. This year has started off much, much, much better and a huge smile consumes my face. Oh what a difference a year makes! Keep smiling ladies for we are all survivors and we are all wonderful people.

Thanks for your repies. I still have this stinkin cold/sore throat. Going on to 9 days. At least it not as bad as when it started. I know that I am not the only one who had several struggles in 2007 so I wish everyone the very best this year. You are all great and wonderful people
