    Hi all -

This just showed up on my clubs e-list.

If you have a few dollars to spare after you holiday spending (OK, like $12.21 if you order from Amazon), and like to climb, you may enjoy the recently published book "Complete Guide to Climbing by Bike" by John Summerson

Oh I want to do Whitney Portal.

I've climbed Whitney 5 - 6 times (as a one day thing from the portal - before I was a cyclist). Reading that on the list makes me think about that portal road - that would be GREAT.

(Similar to gw_12's Horseshoe Meadows climb but with out the Caltrans incendiary devices. )
