Forgot to say I did 15km on the trainer. The scenery was lovely - I was watching the food channel - all about Christmas cookies....

I did 28 miles on yet another chilly day but at least not as windy as yesterday. Wind was out of the east, so it when it comes off the ocean like that it's pretty damp and miserable. I debated doing just 2 more miles around the neighborhood but by then I was just too cold.

I am madly trying madly to get my 2500 miles in at Bike Journal. I figure I have about about 8 opportunities left to ride between now and the end of the year, and maybe 2 of those days will be raining (or snowing - nah not likely) or sleeting - that's more like it but I still have almost 200 miles to go. It is going to be really tight to get those miles in unless we have a couple of 50o sunny weekdays in which case I will have to take the morning off from work and get my miles in. Sigh. Even with all my heaviest cold weather bike gear I'm riding longer than I did last winter, but I still get cold after a couple of hours. Maybe if I add a down vest I can stay out a little longer?

Hmmm....way too cold to bike today- about 15 F this morning, high for the day of only about 22 or so....sheesh!
We didn't even get any decent snow- just some yucky sleety stuff and some snowflakes blowing around. cold.....
(I did go for my fitness walk this morning though, the usual 3.6 miles)

It would have been a great day to ride but the rain and strong winds kept me inside However, I did put the trainer to use and managed to pedal away 23.75 miles while I watched VH1 music video countdown and the last half of a Bon Jovi concert on A&E. I then retired to the couch (after a shower and breakfast).
