    My cycling adventure in Patagonia

    Hi ladies,

I'm off on vacation today, I am going to be riding my bicycle through Patagonia, from the Lake District in the north to Tierra del Fuego at the southernmost tip of South America, down the legendary Carretera Austral.

If you'd like to follow along, I will be keeping a travel blog again at www.annedirkse.com. Since points of communication within Patagonia are sometimes few and far between the posts may be occasional, though I've set up a mail list so you can receive the posts by e-mail if you'd like. Details about that and the things I'll see are on my website.

A million thanks to all of you that offered advice on preparing for my trip, I appreciate it more than I can say.

    Anne
