    Clipless Catastrophe?

    Or just plain funny?

Please enjoy this video my BF took the evening i learned how to use clipless pedals on my old school steel raleigh (because my new bike was not allowed to get scuffed up just yet!)

That's great! I'm just glad that there wasn't a camera around for my first 'practice' fall!

There was that line of construction workers that were entertained by it though...

Sweet bike! Fit-looking rider too! As for the fuc (failure to unclip) fall ... well, you got up on your own, still smiling Doesn't come anywhere close to my falls back in my student days -- like the time I tried to play "laid back" by coasting with my heels resting on the edges of the front hub ... and got one heel caught in the spokes (think cheese slicer, think sudden front wheel stop with momentum flipping rest of bike forward) or the time my rear hub failed when I was starting a right hand turn from a stop sign and was wearing a tight mini-skirt (slo-mo tip, kinda like yours but not dressed as well for it). We've prob'ly all done some embarrassing falls. Luckily, we don't always have a computer-savvy guy standing by with the video cam on. Some of us are old enough that YouTube wasn't even a glimt in some geek's eye back then. And now I think my dh would hesitate to put me on YouTube regardless how silly the situation. I'm just not photogenic enough any more. You, on the other hand ...

Awesome!!!!! You look great too! I love how concerned everyone seems to be for you!

What's really cool, too, is how you did manage to get the right foot unclipped before falling to the left!

    I've done it.

It looks like that was back during better weather, have you master the skill by now?

That's funny! I, like Mr. Silver, am glad that nobody was around to video my first of many falls. It's not a matter of if you fall, but when.
Neat bike, btw- an oldie but goodie.
