Ok, she's been behaving so I don't have her pulling in her academy award winning performance a la the beagle puppy but here are a couple of shots I managed to get after borrowing someone's camera.
This is what she wore for our AIDS Walk this summer. I'd been waiting for pics to be emailed to me but that never happened. It says "Paws for a Cause" and earned her (and the walk) a lot of attention.
When I first got her I was concerned about her lack of interest in playing/toys. Well, as you can see from this pic, that's all changed. My living room is like a doggy toy factory exploded. Sometimes I think she has ADD when it comes to toys.
(Sorry, can't figure out how to get that white "frame" out of the 2nd shot)

My apartment is in a house that is over 100 years old and I think the heating system is only slightly less old.The radiator sort of works (heats only 1/2 way) so the landlord has to get someone in here to work on it (and since it's supposed to dip into the 20's again tonight I hope it's soon.)
Those eyes!
That smile!

Chloe is absolutely beautiful.
Your talk about your cold place made me think of a couple things:
1) In college, I lived out in an old ramshackle farmhouse without any heat except wood-burning stove. When we had a stovepipe problem in January during below zero temps, my 2 roomies and our 3 dogs all sat on one couch huddled together under one electric blanket. Electric blankets aren't just for beds!!(At night, we each took a dog to bed with us!)
2) These days, I'm saving money by turning the heat off when I leave for the day (in a milder climate than college, but still cold). I have been making my elderly cat a hot water bottle every morning, and she absolutely loves it. I tuck it into her sheepskin pad, and it keeps her toasty all day while I'm gone! (Don't worry...we haven't had anything close to freezing temps...I'm not abusing my cat...she's just old and I like her to have extra comfort.)

Chloe is adorable!
Yup, you can tell when the house/weather is cold, when we wake up to both border collies and the cat on the bed! It's not just that they love us, we are a good heat source, too.![]()
