Well said Brandi. This place exhibits such balance...plenty of strong opinions but no cruelty or abusiveness.

i just found you all and mostly, i'm kinda intimidated by how much you all know. but i can't wait to learn lots from you, or at least as much as my little brain can handle. but i really wish i had found this place in the spring, since heading into the cold weather i'm likely to be mostly spinning, since i'm a scarety cat about riding at night or in bad weather. my brother-in-law's broken pelvis from being hit by a car biking home from work probably keeps me timid. but maybe i can do all my book-learning here and put it to use come the nicer weather. (though so far fall isn't too bad and i'll likely get out a good bit more before it gets too lousy out).

You are not alone when it comes to bad weather and being stuck inside! Alot of the women on this site are in the same situation as you. They all hang out at this site and live through us, the one's who can bike year round!(not rubbing it in at all) And in return we try and keep their spirits up till the spring creeps in. It is so much fun when it does. All these girls write about how they finally got thier first ride of the year in! It is like they have been given the best gift in the world!
So stick around during the dreary months we'll keep you entertained!

I LOVE THIS BOARD. I'm as addicted to the board as much as I am to bikes! Some of the nicest women I've ever seen on a messageboard. Such a wealth of knowledge here. THANK YOU.
