    October 26 rides

I didn't see today's ride thread started yet, so I'm going to start it because I need to whine.

Today was the third rainy day in a row I've commuted to work; managed to ride all 5 days this week. This evening it was a steady rain, around 60 degrees, and I'm soaked to the bone.

I got home, and a dead tree in my back yard has fallen down on top of the gate, so I can't get my bike to the back yard so I can put away it in the basement.

Then I find that one of the dogs has had bloody diarrhea today.

I think there might be a batch of chocolate chip cookies in my future tonight, and then maybe the whining will cease...

I didn't even drive anywhere today because the weather is so stinky. At least the tree didn't fall on your house. It is chilly-wet, though
I hope your pup is OK...

Thanks for helping me keep it in perspective.

One more whine, then I'm done:

I preheated the oven to bake cookies, and forgot that I had put a cake pan with a plastic cover in there (I had washed it at work, but wanted to wash it a second time after bringing it home on the bike in the rain, so I stashed it in the oven till I felt like doing dishes) and sure enough, the plastic cover melted into the cake pan. Lots of toxic chemicals swirling around the house, setting off three smoke detectors which nearly deafened me while I removed the batteries.

But the cookies were good, I'm warm and dry, and the dog seems to be fine. And no wildfires here...not with all this rain.

    Hope the pups are okay.
    Have a relaxing weekend.
