    Hi,

I am selling my gently-used Promotion Wetsuit. I'd love for it to go to a woman triathlete at Team Estrogen, so I'm posting here before resorting to craigslist etc.

Nothing wrong with it. It's been worn perhaps 12-15 times, rinsed out every time, dried out of the sun, and always stored and folded correctly. It does have a few scratches, but no rips or tears. I am only selling it because I lost weight and it's now too big on me to provide the needed buoyancy.

Oh - the details: Promotion Women's Fluid Drive Fullsuit, in green, size 12-Short:

    http://www.wetsuit.com/store/detail.cfm?product_id=334

    Here's the sizing chart:

    http://www.wetsuit.com/web/women_sizing.cfm

I do not fully agree with the sizing chart. I'm about 5'6"; this suit fit me well when I weighed about 155 and had a more substantial tummy. When I went down to 140, the suit became too big, especially in the tummy. If you are naturally slim-waisted, this suit will not fit well. The legs on the wetsuit were definitely long enough for my 5'6" legs, though.

This suit got a great review in Triathlete Magazine, as a "mid-level" suit worth $300 but Promotion sells it for around $200. I will sell it to you for $60.

I know it's hard to buy something if you're not sure it will fit. So, I'll ship it to you, you can try it on, try it in the water, and if you don't like it, send it back to me and I'll refund your money (minus my shipping cost).

    PM me if interested

It sounds like it's practically made for me! Oh, I want it, but how can I justify it at home?!?

MD, this is a really good suit. A lot of triathletes out here wear them and I know the company. Very reputable. The price is really reasonable. I would buy it except that it's too short for me.

Congrats, you will love it! I have a Promotion SS and it is so comfy. I haven't had any problems with tears despite the fact that this is my first wetsuit and I am still learning how to put it on gracefully

I guess now I have to find and do a spring or fall triathlon so I can use it! I need to hook up with the local tri club to find out where I can do OWS. The one OWS tri I did the water was too warm for wetsuits.

    wetsuit sold...

Wetsuit has been sold to MDHillSlug. Congrats...I'm just glad to give it a good home!

Isn't there a tri called IronGirl or something in Maryland? Not an Ironman race, it's something shorter...Anyway, the wetsuit can help you get into the water if you'd like to do OW training in the late spring (when the water is chilly)!

Yes, IronGirl. It's longer sprint tri: 1000m OWS, 17.5mi ride, 3.4mi run. I did it for the first time in August. It was a great experience. Unfortunately, the lake is a bit yucky. The lake is only open for swimming for this tri, its practice swim 2 weeks before, and the Columbia Triathlon (Olympic distance) in May. In August the water is always too warm for a wetsuit but they use them in May.

I'm looking to do at least three tri's next season. Having the wetsuit will give me more options. I need to find a place to practice OWS!
