    Who pushes your buttons?

I mean, the ONE person who really can tick you off. For me it is my son.

My son: He can infuriate me to the point that I am GLAD he's leaving for military school in January. Then within 24 hours he can have me fighting mad FOR him. I pray about it, I try not to let it happen but that kid has a PhD in pushing my buttons. He has pushed ALL my buttons the last 24 hours.

So, with a fairly decent day, I completely stressed out in a horrible way and found myself into two beers, now, I am not an alcoholic by any means, but instead of being able to hit the road on the bike when Ben got home, I'm thinking of beer #3 and dreaming of January 6th when we ship him off to "Military school with the Finkelstein $h!t kid" (hey, does anyone else remember THAT little blip from a Cheech and Chong album? (Hate to age myself here.

To make myself feel better I am in a hot bidding war for a really cute "Go Girl" cycling shirt and shorts, and jacket on eBay (and on to teamestrogen to buy some winter cycling pants) and ordered a verticle press machine from another fitness site. When the going gets tough the girl goes shopping! (That's why I like net shopping ,where else can you buy Chanel makeup with a Shiner Bock in hand!)

Just needed to vent a bit and hope you are all laughing with me and not at me.

    Hey Kim,
I bet your son is scared to death. When my brother went off to the Naval Academy he was a wreck. He may just be showing his nerves and unfortunatley for you, he's using you as his mood ring. Believe me, you'll miss him when he's gone and I can bet you he'll be one homesick little boy. Fear of the unknown. Hang in there and remember who they always call first when they get lonely and dumped on. MOM.

Thank you so much for that....I mean...it never occurred to me. I think we are all anxious and afraid to mention it. People drive us nuts with questions such as "how are you goining to handle it?" and they LOVE to tell Zach, "you'll do fine if you just keep your mouth shut!" Zach loves to say that people are so full of advice who have never even been in the military! So true. Honestly, I don't know how we'll feel.

Anyways, thanks! This is why I love this site!
