    Waves to Wine Pictures

I only got 4 decent photos all weekend. And two of them I didn't take!

Our view as we headed to the Golden Gate.

A Cowgirl Oreo - not quite as tasty as a whoopie pie, but not bad.

    Look who came to dinner!

The team at Preston Winery on Sunday. L to R Trekhawk, Emerald, SadieKate, aka_kim, jobob, Veronica, snapdragen, ninabike. I hope I got the screen names right. We're missing mtktchn.

The pics are GREAT! The Golden Gate one is soooooo pretty! Wow! When I was there 2 years ago I only got a good picture of the top of the bridge because it was foggy for 4 days.
I also love the picture of all the TE women! Very nice to see faces!!!

    Thanks for sharing!

    Great photos.

There were a couple of unicycle teams in the 24hr race I did in June. Nothing like being passed by a unicyclist in mud that had to be seen to be believed to make you feel three parts awed and five parts inadequate...

What a beautiful picture of the Golden Gate Bridge and how fun to see pics of TEers! Thanks for sharing.

Thanks for posting the pics! I loved the pic of the GG bridge, now that I've actually been there and ridden across. You all have some beautiful country to bike in. I want to go back and ride more!!
Nice to see so many TE faces, too.

Hey, Unicyle Girl has a blog !

    http://graciesgallivanting.blogspot.com/

She mistook the climb up Highway 1 for Mt. Tam, but under the circumstances she could well be excused for that !

Based on Gracie's blog, and reports from the gang at BikeForums, I'd say the Amici Veloci ladies made an excellent decision to bail out on day 2.

    Lessee ...

Get up at 5 am, start out in the freezing cold, go over really crummy roads, and encounter rest stops which reportedly ran out of food (!),

    - vs. -

Sleep relatively late, wander over to breakfast at the IHOP next door and be entertained by Katherine the uber-waitress, and then mosey up to the ever delightful Preston Winery for a wine & bread & cheese luncheon with a bunch of really great friends.

    Gee, I don't know ...

A couple more (now that I'm figuring out how to add photos to posts):

Ninabike and SadieKate(?) prior to crossing the Golden Gate Bridge:

Veronica at one of the prettier points along the ride:

Sadiekate and Trekhawk at the Sonoma Mountain village (finish of day 1):
