I had the weirdest dream last night

    To disable ads, please log-in.

I dreamt I was riding my mtb, and I had a lot of stuff with me that I had hanging off the handlebars - or maybe it was just on the one side - and the (flat) handlebars were TINY short, like I just barely had room for one hand on either side of the stem! So of course I was weaving all over the place and was completely out of control...

then I dreamt I'd gotten all that stuff back in a (one) pannier, and I really hoped it would help.. but the single pannier was way too heavy and unbalanced and I was still weaving all over the place! Awful!

So what does this mean anyway - I bike too much?

And quite frequently I dream that my brakes aren't working, or just barely, or that in some other way I'm just barely in control... of something I should know how to do.

Hm, maybe I just answered my own question

I think it means you need to buy a couple more bikes...

Hopefully this isn't too serious an answer for you....

Your post actually describes what your dreams are about:
there is some part of your life in which you feel you do not have control.
Your dreams feature bikes because your subconscious is trying to speak to you in a language you understand: bikes!
Something in your world is out of balance. Personally, I think your bike is somehow the answer.

Your dream is telling you to quit your job and ride your bike.
This lifestyle will enable you to carry all your belongings in plastic grocery bags

Really though, +1 what LB said.

    heheh

Yeah, well bar quitting my job and turning into a bag lady, I do have my work cut out for me trying to balance the amount of biking I'm doing now with work, family, rock climbing, all the other stuff I like to do.

And sub-consciously trying to balance the mental effort and enthusiasm I put into each thing too. Doesn't really help if I come home early from work to hang around and be with my son, if all the time I have this niggling feeling that I'd really like to be out riding my bike in the sun...

See - it did have something to do with bikes!
