10 months later...a John Deere revival

The John Deere Racer my son was rebuilding is finally finished. After it sat alone and lonely in the garage for many months disassembled and repainted, we got back into it in recent weeks. Today the last thing was done, which was putting the bar tape on. It's heavy as all get out, and he hasn't quite grown into the bike at 5'5", yet (standover is a little iffy). Fortunately, it's an old bike with muy adjustable stem and seat tube, so he can reach the pedals just fine. He's going to ride it in the Big Dam Bridge (50 miles) at the end of the month.

The decal on the downtube says "Nothing Rides Like A Deer". We didn't try to duplicate the original decals, and he gave up on the flames, for which I am grateful.

I'm so glad it's finished! Here it is!
