Yes I saw that on the news sunday(Atlanta). We had a round of nasty storms come through, some of which knocked out my phone for 2 days and threw my breaker on my well pump(to show how bad the lightning was). He was trying to reach a gazebo and didn't make it. Very sad for his family-he was 15 yrs old and a freshman in high school, they say he was a nice fellow. Jenn
Aw this is so sad, poor boy and at 15 he is a boy too.
I never even thought about cycling in bad weather before I read this, it will make me think in future tho. not ready to go yet!!!!![]()

Definitely a preferred route than a long debilitating illness like cancer.
It could have been me.
I saw the sky darkening and tried to beat the storm home. I didn't make it - was blown over by the wind and soaked by the time I got home but at least I got home.
Very sad though that he was only 15 years old.

I tried twice to pull the story up but was unable. I will comment that it is very sad. Makes me think twice about getting caught in the rain/thunderstorm.
